By Herms , February 23, in Summer Camp. Every year it seems to be a struggle to get boys to the showers mostly the younger guys. Any "fresh" ideas on how to get boys to take a shower at least once during the week of camp? It seems like most kids get rinsed off in the pool or lake at least once daily.

Your teen will love spending the summer at any of these fun day camps and overnight camps for girls and boys. When it comes to the activities teens can enjoy during the summer, there are an infinite number of possibilities. Campers learn to work as a group and live in harmony with the environment. The program offers both day and overnight options at locations nationwide. For instance, teens looking to pursue screenwriting can attend one, two, and three week intensives in screenwriting with the option to develop two short screenplays pages each , one longer screenplay pages , or the first act of a feature-length screenplay.

We monitor energy levels while staying ready to reassure the boy who has had a bad dream or feels homesick. We balance education and nurturing. The cabin for Outpost has two sleeping wings extending from a common room with a huge fireplace, an attached lavatory, and heat and electricity. This division tends to be our largest. The cabins share a bathroom and shower house, and feature hot water, electricity, and flush toilets. This age is ideal for summer camp, as boys are physically functional yet learn to shed peer-induced inhibitions.
Boys and girls age 6 — 16 experience faith, fun, and friendships during their overnight experience at camp! Camp Cho-Yeh has curriculum and activities specifically geared for all children, from young elementary campers, all the way up to high school students. Youth and teens have opportunities to create the top summer camp experience by trying new outdoor adventures, making new friends in cabin, belonging to a group through Alpha-Omega Tribes, and by growing in specific areas through the guidance of their counselors and other staff. Our approach to ministry, desired outcomes, daily experience, staff, and camper safety are five key factors in making Cho-Yeh the best summer camp close to Houston. Here, meaningful and mentoring relationships between youth and their counselors are the avenue in which we seek to be most effective with our ministry. Camper-counselor relationships are an incredibly important tool we use to foster an environment of life-change and growth. Counselors serve as wonderful role models, and teens are able to watch them passionately following after Jesus Christ. Before children even step into cabin, counselors have spent weeks in preparation and training to best be equipped to come alongside campers each session. Counselors best mentor by developing meaningful relationships with the youth.
